The Association was formed in December 1994 as a professional association for mathematics teachers and other mathematics educators in Singapore.

What We Do

We disseminate information on current events and issues in mathematics education through conferences, workshops and seminars as well as providing forums for discussion among mathematics educators.

Our People

Our Executive Committee is made up of professionals and academics with years of industry experience in Singapore with a passion for Mathematics.

TME

TME, short for The Mathematician Educator, is our official publication which has its primary purpose to provide a forum for disciplined inquiry and discussion into mathematics education.

MTC2026 – AME Logo Design Contest

AME is inviting all members who have registered for MTC 2026 to participate in an exciting competition to design a new logo for the Association using Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI). This competition aims to harness the creativity of our members while exploring the potential of AI-driven design tools. The winning logo will be launched at MTC 2026 and be used across all official materials and platforms as the future official representation of AME.

The Mathematician Educator is a peer-reviewed open access journal published by AME. All articles are freely accessible. The latest issue has been published. Read TME Volume 6, No 2.

AME Membership

  • members can attend a number of members-exclusive events
  • 1 year from April to March of the following year

Professional Development Events


  1. Mathematics Teachers Conference 2026 with the theme AI in Mathematics Education: Reality and Possibility will take place on 5th June 2026. This will be a full day conference.
