ASSOCIATION OF MATHEMATICS EDUCATORS (AME) Logo Design Competition Using Generative AI

Competition Overview:

AME is inviting all members who have registered for MTC 2026 to participate in an exciting competition to design a new logo for the Association using Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI). This competition aims to harness the creativity of our members while exploring the potential of AI-driven design tools. The winning logo will be launched at MTC 2026 and be used across all official materials and platforms as the future official representation of AME.

Eligibility:

• Open to all active AME members who have registered for MTC 2026.
• Individual and team (maximum of 3 members) submissions are allowed.
• Each participant/team may submit only one entry.

Submission Requirements:

• The logo must be created using a Generative AI tool (e.g., DALL·E, MidJourney, Stable Diffusion, Adobe Firefly, etc.).
• The final design should be in high-resolution PNG or Jpeg or Tif (Max 10MB) .
• The logo should be original and not infringe on any copyright or trademark.
• A brief description (200-300 words) must accompany the submission, explaining the design concept, choice of colors, and how it represents AME’s mission and vision.
• The AI tool(s) used and the prompts utilized must be disclosed.

Design Guidelines:

• The logo should reflect AME’s mission of advancing mathematics education.
• It should be modern, professional, and visually appealing.
• The design should be adaptable for various uses (print, digital, merchandise, etc.).
• It should incorporate elements related to mathematics and education.
• A maximum of three colors should be used, ensuring a balance of simplicity and elegance.

Judging Criteria:

1. Relevance to AME’s mission (30%) – How well the logo represents the organization.
2. Creativity and originality (25%) – The uniqueness of the design and AI-assisted concept.
3. Aesthetic appeal (20%) – Visual impact and professional quality.
4. Versatility (15%) – Adaptability to various formats and sizes.
5. Technical execution (10%) – Clarity, resolution, and AI tool usage.

Key Dates:

• Competition Launch: 13 May 2026
• Submission Deadline: 29 May 2026
• Judging Period: 1-3 Jun 2026
• Winner Announcement: 5 Jun 2026

Prizes:

• Winner: Official adoption of the logo, certificate of recognition, and a cash prize of SGD100.
• Runner-up (2nd place): Certificate and honorable mention on AME platforms.
• Honorable Mention (3rd place): Certificate and recognition.

Terms and Conditions:

• By submitting an entry, participants grant AME the rights to use, modify, and distribute the winning design.
• Participants must ensure that their designs do not contain copyrighted elements without permission.
• AME reserves the right to make modifications to the winning logo if necessary.
• The decision of the judging panel is final.
